Hue Specialty Coffee - Dry-Processed Arabica A Luoi (A Lưới) 100g
A Luoi (A Lưới) coffee was once a key coffee-growing area of Central Vietnam, alongside Khe Sanh coffee. After more than 10 years of absence, Greenfields Coffee has revived the high-quality coffee line in Hue (Huế). The coffee is harvested, processed, and roasted to create a Hue Specialty Coffee found only at Greenfields Coffee.
Hue Specialty Coffee is made from Arabica A Luoi beans with careful processing and a fairly high proportion of tree-ripened cherries, so the cup you enjoy has the sweetness of the beans' natural sugars while minimizing the astringency of green-harvested cherries.
Hue Specialty Coffee - Arabica A Luoi makes a meaningful gift for friends, family, and partners... whenever you visit Hue. With the distinctive flavor of the Ancient Capital, it is hard to mistake for any other coffee.
Dry-processed Arabica A Luoi coffee
Among coffee processing methods, the dry process is the oldest and also the most natural. Dry processing gives coffee a more complex flavor than other methods, and controlling natural fermentation is much more difficult. Until now, the dry process has generally been the simplest method. The coffee cherries are picked and sun-dried whole, with the parchment bean inside.
Depending on the weather, a dry-processed batch can turn out great or poor. On sunny days, dry processing is easy. Coffee cherries dried under the strong sun shrivel up like bananas, jackfruit, or grapes being dried. The fermentation of the cherries slows down and stops once the cherries are dry enough.
Today, as people study coffee processing more deeply, the dry process is one that many producers use to create a cup that is full of aroma and richness.
